May 2018

Lately I have been considering putting the blog on a semi-hiatus.

As often happens, my long list of goals has been whittled down to a few specific projects. I am not above admitting that sometimes it’s just too many things to juggle at once and I suppose that’s what’s going on here.

Currently, I am working on #WBMAM — finishing the draft and editing it — and its sequel, #WV, in addition to my #QueerEarthWitches novel. Which puts me in an odd place in that I’m not writing superfluous stuff. I’m not writing things I can share. My progress is steady, and I don’t need blog entries to give me word counts on my less-productive days this year to maintain my goal.

So, it’s on my mind. I don’t think it’ll be a firm hiatus, at least. I’ll post when I have things of interest to say. Right now, though, I’m not working on articles or opinion pieces. I’m not even writing my reviews for the books I’m reading (just the personal notes for when I do write the review).

I’ll be seeing you around, friends. Intermittently, so it shouldn’t be too much of a change. 🙃

  1. All the best with your writing. Zeroing in on specific, achieveable goals is often essential to achieving them. I will continue to plod along with poetry for most of my own blog writing and look forward to reading and sharing your work whenever you check in with blogging activity.

    1. Thank you, @Firewords! I think a big part of knowing how to stay on track is in knowing what tasks to set aside, so that’s what I’m hoping to do here. Best of luck with your poetry and writing as well! I completely thought I was following you already but I just had to again, so I’ll be seeing you around here 🙂
